“ Give them a few more weeks to work out opening details at this new site. Food was great but key menu items (more expensive) were not available. They should not be using the cheap recycled napkins (typical of street food) in this class of restaurant. If you want a single glass of wine, be prepared to get a beer glass of red ??? house juice (wine?) in a beer glass even though you are at a very good seafood restaurant. This location needs to work out their opening details. "The food and servers are great" just reset your expectations down a bit. ”

I ordered a shrimp "escondidinho" (a type of Brazilian casserole) which was well-stuffed, but lacked salt; I seasoned it at the table. I ordered a drink that had more ice than the drink itself. The waiters' service was exceptional. The live music is very good. The beer was cold. Only one door in the women's restroom had a lock. ”

“ I know several Massagueirinha locations. The last time I had lunch at the Gruta location, it was a fairly busy day, but nothing out of the ordinary. There were times when I wanted to order something and it was difficult to get a waiter's attention. And I personally don't like using my voice to "call" someone, so as not to disturb or scare other customers. One suggestion they could adopt, which I believe wouldn't be a high investment, is to put a button on each table so that management can see which table needs service. Something more convenient. Otherwise, no complaints! ”

“ Overall, my experience at the establishment was very positive. However, some points make me hesitant to give it 5 stars. As positive points, I can mention that the crab shell appetizer was very tasty and quite large. The gratin cheese on top is a great addition. We also ordered a grilled fish dish with rice, broccoli, and sautéed potatoes. The fish was excellent. The soft coconut candy with tapioca ice cream was also great. As negative points, I would mention that the salad that came with an executive meal we ordered had a strange smell, but the waiter we complained to apologized and offered another dessert as a courtesy, which I thought was nice of him. The main course order also took about 40 minutes, which I consider slow, given that the crab shell appetizer arrived almost instantly after we ordered. I also found the prices a bit higher compared to other restaurants in the city. And finally, I found it curious that the waiter who served us as soon as we arrived gave us two physical menus. The main course we chose to order had different prices on the two menus, but after we pointed this out, the cheaper price prevailed, and it was 15 reais cheaper than the other menu, which I think is a considerable difference. In any case, the menu that mattered was the one available on the establishment's Instagram page. I only brought this up because I've had problems with different prices on menus at the same restaurant during my stay in Maceió, which, I reiterate, was not the case at Massagueirinha! ”
